102 sailors turned out to race last weekend 25th & 26th April for Round one of the UKWA Inland National Championships at Northampton Sailing Club Pitsford. Saturday offered Sunshine and a good breeze for all fleets including formula. The race officer ran 5 rounds of extremely exciting course racing for all fleets. On Saturday night many competitors took advantage of the excellent food at the club. The highlight of the evening was Daves Bingo which was popular with competitors and parents, the bar and background music made an enjoyable evening for all. Thanks to Tushingham, Pryde and Boardwise for the prizes. Sunday saw lighter and shifty winds, nor suitable for formula but a further 4 rounds of racing took place and in such conditions leaders could never be confident of their positions with constant changes at the front of the fleets. Thanks to Pitsford for their hospitality and to all the race crews for their help on and off shore. RESULTS: 10 juniors 26 Raceboards 13 RS:X 36 Techno 17 Formula For all the results go to www.results.eskdale.org
