PWA World Tour: 2014 promises an historical season

The Professional Windsurfers Association has announced the provisional calendar for the 2014 PWA World Tour. Sailors will be visiting Turkmenistan.

The 2014 windsurfing season promises to be one of the most calendars in the history of the sport, with more events listed than on any schedule released to date.

The PWA World Tour has seven events that were not held last year and some exciting new destinations.

"Poland and La Torche represent important steps into markets that have strong ties to windsurfing, but have not had PWA events in recent years", the PWA team explains.

"Margarita and Bonaire will take us to the spiritual homes of Freestyle. Turkmenistan promises to chart new territory in the Caspian Sea, and is just one of many events already confirmed by contract".

The only event from 2013 not listed for 2014 is the Netherlands stage, but PWA believes it may be added later. The Maui and Chile events are both included on the calendar again.

The full 2014 PWA World Tour schedule will be confirmed in the following weeks.
