Spain rise to the top of the national standings in the latest release of the ISAF World Sailing Rankings. Led by Marina ALABAU (ESP), who holds the world #1 spot in the Women’s RS:X, Spain now has five crews Ranked amongst the top-three in the world across the 11 Olympic events.

Przemyslaw MIARCZYNSKI (POL) stays top for the fourth consecutive of the Men’s RS:X Rankings, a bronze medal at the European Championship in Brest the latest addition to his trophy cabinet. However, world #2 Joao RODRIGUES (POR) has closed the gap on the leader, cutting the points’ difference at the top to less than 50 after he was crowned 2008 European Champion in France.

For all those European windsurfers craving more action, the solution has arrived in the form of The Windsurfing Journal.

The Windsurfing Journal is a new German language windsurfing magazine. It’s published every two months, and distributed in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The very first issue hit the shelves in March and proved to be a huge success.

The second issue has just been completed and will be published this week.
