Amaury Lavernhe has conquered the 2015 Fronton King, at El Fronton, in the Canary Islands.

Hundreds of bodyboarding fans flocked to the jewel of Galdar to witness an always spectacular competition. This year, the Fronton King takes another step into the spotlight as an APB-sanctioned specialty event.

In the final heat of the prestigious slab riding contest, the bodyboarder from Reunion Island defeated Canarian star Dailos Rodríguez in clean five-to-seven-foot surf.

"So stoked on my win today at the Fronton King! I'm so thankful to be a part of this amazing event, to have the support of you guys and to compete on such a good wave! Congrats to all the riders and the organization for this contest and see you next year in Galdar!" expressed Lavernhe.

The 2015 Fronton King had competitors traveling from eight countries. Hopefully, the event will return to the APB World Tour calendar in 2016.
