The Box Pro Trials: trying to impress judges

Damian King has conquered the 2012 Box Pro Trials, held in Gas Bay, Margaret River, Western Australia.

The experienced Australian rider defeated Sacha Specker, Lewy Finnegan and Jacob Romero in the final heat. All four bodyboarders have secured a ticket to the main event.

Trialists showed a great commitment and now it's big showtime. The completed draw for The Box Pro 2012 has been announced and there are strong challenges ahead.

Heat 8 will a see a 100% Australian fleet: Ben Player, Andrew Lester, Damian King and Lee Szczepanski. Jeff Hubbard, 2012 IBA World Tour leader, will be surrounded by Aussies: Mitch Rawlins, Chase O'Leary and Nick Ormerod.

Pierre-Louis Costes, the 2011 world bodyboarding champion, has the same challenge. He will meet Dallas Singer, Tom Rigby and Chad Jackson in Round 1.

The Box Pro 2012 runs from 26th March to the 4th April in a showdown format. There are 2000 GSS points at stake and a prize money of US$35000.
