Kiama Beach will be decisive venue of the 2011 RAW National Titles and Rebel Sport Pro. The New South Wales surf spot is the culmination of 12 months of grueling eliminations across all surfing states in Australia and New Zealand. Up to 300 bodyboarders will be heading to Kiama wedge, from October 17th to 23rd, to compete for the biggest title in Australasia. Ten amateur divisions spanning from the Grommets (under 13) to the Grand Masters (Over 45) will hit the water at the infamous beach. Kiama is a strong left-hander that, on a perfect day, produces world class waves for high performance bodyboarding. "Kiama wedge is the perfect setting to finish this years competition season which features a lot of these wedging-type venues", says IBA Australasian General Manager, Terry McKenna. "This is a wave rich area of the NSW coastline and is well suited to handle the large number of competitors and their families with a wide variety of accommodation options", he added.
