ASP World Tour announces team of commentators

Surfing: what would commentators say about this?

Pat Parnell, Joe Turpel, Ross Williams and Martin Potter will be the core commentators of the 2014 ASP World Championship Tour (WCT).

The Association of Surfing Professionals (ASP) also added Peter Mel, Rosy Hodge, Todd Kline, Strider Wasilewski, Ronnie Blakey and other regional experts to the surf commentary panel.

"Their experience and background within the sport is unparalleled and for the first time in ASP history, we'll have a dedicated and consistent team for the sport," explains Jed Pearson, SVP of Content and Programming.

"In addition to our core team, we look forward to utilizing regional resources around the world to ensure that the broadcast is the best possible quality for the fans."

Pat Parnell has two decades of experience in action sports world. Joe Turpel has been participating in surf broadcasts since 2007. Martin Potter is a former pro surfer involved in the surfing industry as a coach, commentator, brand ambassador and mentor.

The 2014 ASP World Championship Tour kicks off with the Quiksilver Pro Gold Coast.
