Leonardo Fioravanti and Chelsea Tuach claimed the 2018 Martinique Surf Pro, at Basse-Pointe.

The Italian surfer defeated Nat Young in the men's final held in two-to-three-foot waves. Fioravanti combined his classic surfing skills with new school moves and conquered the 3,000 Qualifying Series (QS) event.

"It feels so good to win again. My last win was in 2014. I'm stoked to win this one for me but also for the Europeans and everybody in Italy supporting me," explained Leonardo Fioravanti.

"I want to dedicate this win to two people I've lost recently: my grandmother and Pierre Agnes, from Quiksilver, who we all miss dearly."

On the women's side, Chelsea Tuach imposed her supremacy over Claire Bevilacqua, a Championship Tour (CT) surfer with lots of experience in these type of conditions.

"I've really felt all the love and support from the people here and in Barbados watching the event online. I'm super proud, and I definitely won this for all of these people too, trying to make them proud."
