Sally Fitzgibbons won the Fiji Women's Pro 2015, in solid eight-to-10-foot (3 - 3.5 meters) waves at Cloudbreak.

The Australian surfer defeated Bianca Buitendag in the final heat and celebrated the ninth victory on the Dream Tour. Fitzgibbons opened the hostilities with an excellent 9.23 and sealed the deal with a 9.33 or two big, committed turns.

"I'm so exhausted the tears came out. It's been such a big couple of days and quite a bit of pain. I just thought whatever the ocean is going to deal up to me I'll be happy with it. At this stage to have a win is so amazing and I'm just so happy," said Sally.

"Credit to the medical staff for taping me up and to everyone supporting me back home - I love you guys, we did it. In the face of adversity, this is definitely one of the most special wins I've ever had."

Sally Fitzgibbons competed with an injured eardrum, but the effort paid off. She climbed to third place in the overall rankings. The next stage is the Vans US Open of Surfing, in Huntington Beach.
