Julien Bouyer has been crowned the 2012 Techno 293 World Windsurfing champion, in Medemblik, Netherlands.
French sailors dominated the Open division of the 2012 Techno 293 World Championships, during five days of intense windsurfing races. They have secured gold, silver and bronze in the podium.
The Techno 293 is clearly alive. The class proves to be a competitive brand ready for all weather conditions. Bouyer won four races and placed second in the overall 12 windsurf races.
The 2012 Techno 293 World Championships was contested by 450 competitors from 26 countries. There were Under-17 and Under-15 races for the Boys and Girls divisions.
Dorian van Rijsselberghe brought his Olympic Gold medal in to show and inspire the fleet. Antonio Bonet and Marta Maggetti took the Under-17 titles, Tom Monnet and Lucine Bossard won the Under-15
